Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS) temporarily closed - Operational Update
Around 100,000 people near Bali's Mount Agung have been ordered to evacuate as officials fear a major eruption. Indonesian authorities have raised the state of alert to its highest level, and expanded the exclusion zone around the rumbling volcano. As a result the island's airport at Denpasar (DPS) has been closed.
We are aware that the status of Qatar Airways (QR) codeshare flights connecting to DPS are still showing as confirmed. However as the Bali Airport website clearly states ‘Flight operations at Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS) are currently suspended due to Agung volcanic ash’ you may use the standard customer guidelines to assist customers booked on BA125 tickets due to arrive in DPS on either 27, 28 or 29 November.
