CrossCountry Trains - RMT Strike - 23, 24, 27 & 31 December 17

04:13PM
15 Dec 2017

Possible strike action by the RMT union on 23, 24, 27 and 31 December.

Unfortunately, the RMT union has called a strike for Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th, Wednesday 27th and Sunday 31st December that will significantly affect CrossCountry train services.

CrossCountry will be operating a reduced service but using some longer trains. Amended train plans will be confirmed this week, so please keep checking the CrossCountry website for details. If you have clients travelling on any of these days on a CrossCountry service, please advise them to travel as early as possible. Some services may finish earlier than normal, and some stations may have no CrossCountry services, although alternative travel arrangements have been prepared. With fewer trains available we expect all services, and any replacement bus services, to be very busy.

I hope this notice enables your teams to manage appropriately client arrangements should they be travelling on these days.

Regards,

Shane
